The short version

This is a static informational website. It has no accounts, no forms, no cookies and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Nothing you do here is used to build a profile of you.

Server logs

Like any web server, this one records a short technical log entry for each request: the IP address, the time, the page requested, the browser's user-agent string and the referring page. These entries exist to keep the site running and secure. They are not combined with anything else, are not used to identify visitors, and are not shared. They are kept only as long as needed for that purpose and then deleted.

The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website.

Cookies and tracking

None. This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics, embeds no third-party scripts and shows no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

Fonts

Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts a Google server and that server sees your IP address. If you would rather avoid this, a content blocker will prevent it and the site remains fully readable.

If you email us

Writing to the address above sends your message, your email address and whatever else you include to our mailbox. It is used to answer you and nothing else, and it is kept only as long as the correspondence needs.

Your rights

You may ask what data is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Because this site collects nothing beyond the server logs described above, such a request will usually be answered by confirming exactly that. Write to hello@xivi.ch.
